Davenport football team hair charity, cut off their locks for a good cause.
Davenport Bulldogs football players had been growing their hair out when they decided to cut their hair and donate it to the organization Children With Hair Loss. The Michigan-based group works to empower children to become whole again by making hair available to those who might be financially challenged and might have otherwise not have means of obtaining the hair they want and need.
“Our goal is to assist as many of these children as possible in changing their lives by improving their outlook and empowering them with a degree of self confidence that will allow them to face the world with renewed self esteem,” according to the group’s Facebook page.
A player on the team told KOCO 5 that some of the players had decided to grow out their hair as a form of team bonding. Some of them had even grown out their hair for years.
Recently, some of the Bulldogs decided to cut off their hair and donate it to Children With Hair Loss.
“Thanks for the hair donations fellas!” the page posted.
